immediately to your command, do not repeat it but continue to stare at him and intensifying your expression pointing for him to get down.

You can now resort to physical encouragement. There is no need to actively drag the dog off the sofa. To drag him
off gives him a position of authority that you do not want him to have. All you need to do is slide your hand down under his rear lifting
it up. This will make it uncomfortable. Continue moving your forearm forward until he voluntarily moves. Your dogs voluntary action
to move has increased your position as alpha dog leader. Resorting to pulling your dog off your sofa would have allowed your dog to show
you disrespect as alpha dog leader. If your dog had physically resisted he would have increased, in his eyes, the future possibility of his
becoming the alpha dog. You must be consistent in word, action, and body language.
