I became involved in dog massage a few years ago. I owned a small 5 pound
Pomeranian we named Big Shot because of his personality. Big Shot lived to be about 12 years old. The
last three or four years of his life he had a hip problem. The house we lived in had quite a few
stairs. Big Shot’s hip problem became so severe for him that he was not able to climb up the stairs.
When he wanted to go upstairs I would pick him up and carry him. It was during this time that someone
told me about dog massage therapy. When I first heard about it I laughed. I thought, sure, after a hard
day at work I am going to come home and give my dog massage therapy. I needed the massage.
Big Shot’s hip problem became so severe that he would not even attempt climbing the stairs.
So one day I picked up the little guy and began massaging his back hind leg. The massage lasted only a
few minutes, maybe 15 minutes at the most. When Big Shot got up from his massage he seemed peppier than he
had been for awhile. Later when I went up the stairs I noticed he followed me up.
I continued to give Big Shot his dog massage every evening when I came home from work. I
discovered something I had not expected. I was relaxing when I gave him a massage. I was not as tense
as I normally was in the evenings after a stressful day's work when I gave Big Shot his dog massage. I was
receiving a benefit of tension release and Big Shot was receiving the physical therapy he needed from the dog
massage. It was a win-win solution for the two of us.
I did not really know what I was doing when I started massaging Big Shot’s hind leg. That’s

I felt a greater sense of confidence in what I was doing to help Big Shot with his dog massage.

Zoe Gan operates a company called Pawsitive Sensations. She loves pets, in particular
dogs. Zoe is interested in holistic approaches to care for animals. Zoe Gan is a certified Canine
Massage Practitioner. She received an honors diploma in veterinary assisting. She has worked closely
with animals at a veterinary hospital in California.
Zoe Gan has a very gentle loving way to massage animals. She noticed the dogs she gave
a massage to, at the hospital, would often prod her for further massage therapy. She believes that as dogs
are man’s best friend they deserve our gentle physical touch through dog massage.
Dog Massage Secrets
The program, Dog Massage Secrets, is a step by step video program detailing
how to give your dog a massage. The program goes into explaining the benefits of dog massage. Besides
the physical benefits there are other benefits as well. You and your dog become closer. There is a
stronger bond between the two of you. That is just the beginning. My dog, Big Shot, had hip dyslexia
but even dogs that do not have physical ailments receive physical benefits from dog massage. Zoe’s
program Dog Massage Secrets is an online program. It teaches how to set an environment for
the massage, how to prepare your dog, basic techniques and how much pressure to exert. The program

techniques.
